Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC) is an independent voluntary organisation which offers a range of free and confidential support services to ALL GENDERS 12+ who has been raped affected by rape, sexual assault or commercial sexual exploitation.

Within these services FRASAC provides a Woman Only Space (someone born biologically female) if and when requested and in line with the Equality Act 2010: A Woman’s right to single-sex spaces and services.

FRASAC paid staff and volunteers will be predominantly women, we will ensure that referral routes will be managed by women ensuring any contact made by service users will be responded to by a woman until an information session has been provided to clarify the service users’ needs.

FRASAC BOD will be predominantly women with all office bearers’ posts being held by women in line with our values that FRASAC believes in a holistic approach to providing support to survivors of sexual violence, built on the foundations of feminism, human rights and equality.

FRASAC has been offering frontline services to survivors in Fife since 2003.

We offer support regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, disability, and religious and cultural background.

We also work with young people aged 12-25 across Fife delivering a series of prevention workshops in schools and community settings as well as deliver training to professionals.

Fair Work First

Fair Work First is the Scottish Government’s flagship policy for driving high quality and fair work, and workforce diversity across the labour market in Scotland by applying fair work criteria to grants, other funding and public contracts being awarded by and across the public sector, where it is relevant to do so. Through this approach the Scottish Government is supporting employers who adopt fair working practices.

FRASAC and Fair Work First

FRASAC are committed to the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy. We are striving to be an organisation which sees employees engaged in what we do, supported through training and development opportunities, and we promote positive approaches to make FRASAC a flexible and dynamic place to work
