Our Sexual Violence Prevention Programme is delivered to young people 12+ in secondary schools and community settings. The programme is funded by the Scottish Government to run workshops across Scotland. There are 7 different topics covered and they are adapted specifically for four different age/stage groups. The topics are as follows:
- Gender
- Consent
- Sexual Violence
- Sexualisation in the Media
- Impact and Support
- Social Media
- Preventing Sexual Violence
The Programme is planned in partnership with our Sexual Violence Prevention Worker and Schools and youth groups to best meet their needs. The resource pack used is evidence-based and has been externally evaluated. The Prevention Programme promotes children’s rights to protection from violence and abuse.
As FRASAC grows we are looking to include other community groups in our prevention training as well as schools. If you have a local community group or are a school who currently do not participate in this programme and would like further information, please email us at prevention@frasac.org.uk.
