And so this is Christmas!

We started last year’s Christmas blog by saying 2020 was a year like no other. I don’t think we expected or hoped we’d be at this time of year again with covid, vaccines and boosters still the main topic of conversation.

Here at FRASAC both staff and clients were delighted to welcome the return to face to face support in 2021. Whilst online support has been vital, face to face will remain our first offer to clients, in line with all government guidance.

The latter half of 2021 has seen intense recruitment for FRASAC thanks to much needed additional fund

ing and we’re thrilled to start 2022 with a larger and more diverse team helping to reduce the time clients have to wait for support and make our services more responsive.

We’re very sad to lose Mairi McAllister our Service Manager who leaves us after 17 years. Mairi’s contribution to FRASAC cannot be underestimated and we wish her well and hope to be able to call on her skills and experience in the future.

Unfortunately we’ve had to postpone our 20th birthday celebrations that were

scheduled for January, we hope to be able to reschedule this for March.

This year FRASAC will close at 5pm on Thursday 24th December and will re-open at 8.30am on Tuesday 4th January 2022. If you would like to leave a message or send us an email during this time please do so and we’ll get back to you in the new year.

Sexual health services including advice on emergency contraception are available during the holidays, all the information can be found at https://www.sexualhealthfife.scot.nhs.uk/

Our website www.frasac.org.uk has lots of useful information and please remember the Rape Crisis Scotland Helpline remains open during the holidays, they can be reached on 08088 01 03 02 between the hours of 6pm and midnight every day except New Years Eve when they are open from 7pm to 11pm.

We do hope you enjoy the festivities and wish you best for the new year.
